The merging of the East African Community (EAC), the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) will lead to the creation of the biggest free trade area in the world. This article analyzes the challenges of this integration and provides a cost-benefit analysis.
