This article highlights one of the most prominent changes on Africa’s geopolitical scene: the rise of China. Especially the EU has taken up a very ambivalent position since this reversal of the old order. In this article, Niall Duggan investigates the PRC-EU-Africa triangle, places them in historical perspective and gives some forecasts on the future cooperation between the EU and PRC in merging their African policies.
