Application of soft power has become an important tool for XXIst Century grand strategy. The growing economic, political and cultural clout of PRC has allowed its leaders to furnish their own “arsenal” of soft power techniques. Maciej Michałek explains the ways in which Chinese leadership learns how to use these “soft” capabilities, identifies challenges hindering their effectiveness and offers his take on the future of Chinese soft power.
